Job description
As Operations Support Supervisor, you will lead and oversee the support operations team, responsible for all production support activities such as Grade B cleaning, material transfer, replenishment and sterilisation. Additionally, you will supervise aspects of the CAR-T process (cryopreservation). Your leadership will ensure safe and compliant manufacturing operations in line with cGMP requirements, supporting both clinical and commercial CAR-T production. You will collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders to address production challenges and ensure seamless execution of daily operations.
Quality oversight
Act as Subject Matter Expert on quality aspects of production activities, ensuring compliance with cGMP regulations and documentation requirements.
Documentation management
Review and approve production documentation including batch records, SOPs and work instructions.
Operational leadership
Coordinate and optimise support activities such as cleaning, transfer and sterilisation while ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Tech transfer
Support the introduction of new production processes and contribute to process optimisation projects.
Team supervision
Lead and motivate the support operations team, assigning tasks and ensuring readiness for daily operations.
Continuous improvement
Develop training programmes and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, safety and compliance.
Audit readiness

Ensure the team is prepared for internal and external inspections, representing Support Production in quality matters.
Required competences & skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Bio-Engineering, Pharmacy or related field
- Minimum 1 year experience in a cGMP or ATMP environment within biotech or biopharma
- At least 5 years of direct people management experience, leading teams of 10 or more
- Fluent in English and Dutch
- Strong leadership with proven ability to motivate and direct teams
- Excellent communication skills with a structured and clear approach
- Experience with handling multiple tasks and cross-functional challenges
- Hands-on and solution-oriented mindset with focus on continuous improvement
- In-depth knowledge of cGMP regulations and EMEA guidance for cell-based manufacturing
- Experience with Operational Excellence or Lean Manufacturing is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of MES or EBR is an advantage
- Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends when needed
- Flexibility to accommodate unplanned overtime
