Job description
As Project Manager, you will take ownership of complex international projects from the final sales phase through to execution. You will ensure that scope, budget and timelines are safeguarded while leading cross-functional teams and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Scope definition
Define project scope together with sales and customers and align objectives clearly.
Lifecycle management
Set up and manage a structured phase gate approach across the entire project lifecycle.
Project initiation
Kick off projects with customers and internal teams while building trust and alignment.
Team leadership
Lead and inspire project teams, monitor engineers and review project documentation.
Planning and delivery
Safeguard project planning, milestones and deliverables, managing risks and mitigation plans.
Financial management
Monitor project costs and ensure budgets are respected across phases.
Reporting and governance
Report progress to management and steering committees while maintaining transparency.
Acceptance and start up
Organise acceptance tests and support commissioning engineers during start up phases.
Required competences & skills
- Master’s degree in Electro, Mechanical, Chemical or Bio Engineering (or equivalent through experience)
- Proven experience as project manager in pharmaceuticals, food or chemical industries
- Track record of managing international client and supplier relationships
- Strong leadership and people management skills with an analytical mindset
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical guidelines and regulations
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
- Continuous improvement mindset applied to daily project processes
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 8 weeks per year (maximum 2 weeks per trip)
